2021 CAJP Annual Conference

CAJP is offering a live, in-person location in Santa Ana, CA (just a couple miles from our usual Crowne Plaza location) where Attendees of our 2021 Conference on Saturday October 16th may gather in a large, beautiful conference room.  Putting one person per 6' table, we can seat up to 30 people in this wonderful room. CAJP will provide coffee, water, muffins, fruit, snacks and a boxed lunch from Panera Bread, to all in-person Attendees. The cost to attend the live event is just $25.00 in addition to the $99.00 Conference fee for Members. The Conference presentations will be broadcast onto the large screen for all there to see and hear. Attendance is at your own risk though CAJP will provide plenty of sanitizer and have anti-viral wipes and masks available for anyone who wants them.

Our online virtual conference is happening once again on Saturday, October 16th, starting at 10 a.m. We have a stellar roundup of nationally-known speakers:

1.  Jay Adkisson, Esq. will speak on fraudulent (voidable) transfers and how to make assets available again after your debtor has transferred them out of reach, using the Uniform Voidable Transactions Act (UVTA). You will learn exactly what needs to be proven to a court to have the transfer ruled void.

2.   Tomio Narita, Esq. will talk about a variety of the ways people who enforce judgments wind up on the wrong side of a lawsuit. He's an expert in FDCPA and Rosenthal Act law, and will discuss the many traps (and defenses) waiting for the unwary. This is especially timely with the looming California Debt Collectors license laws.

3.   Joe Dickerson, CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner) will talk about some of his favorite ways of finding assets to enforce judgments. A former Detective Sergeant with the Houston police force, Joe has over 50-years of financial investigation and forensic research experience, and is the author of Diagnostic & Prescriptive Judgment Enforcement: The New Model for Judgment Recovery.
